Thursday morning the elders came to the mission home for breakfast, we all had pictures taken then drove to see the Houston Temple ( which will open April 24!!!!) and went to the church for training and to meet their trainers and have lunch.  After lunch there was more training and they received their bedding and left soon after for their new areas to teach and to baptize!

Transfers Wednesday February 28, 2018

Our departing missionaries met for breakfast at the mission home and left for the airport.  All were checked in, luggage paid for goodbyes said and off they went home after serving the Lord in the Texas Houston Mission.  They will be greatly missed and left a great legacy!  About 6 hours later we welcomed 11 new missionaries  who came to the mission home for dinner, interviews and a testimony meeting.  Again the elders left to spend the night with other elders and the sisters stayed at the mission home.  We are excited and so thankful they are here with us and arrived safely!

Transfer day February 27, 2018

Tuesday morning February 27 began with missionaries who were being transferred and those going home met at a church building near the mission home.  Missionaries leaving met inside and were instructed on their departure the next day, making sure everyone had a drivers license and their information on their luggage.  We then had lunch and additional training on being self reliant by the Perkins.  Later they all came to the mission home for final interviews, dinner and a testimony meeting .  Elders left to spend the night with other elders and the sisters stayed at the mission home.  Sister Pennistons parents came to pick her up that evening and we all loved meeting them.
