Spanish Stake Conference August 10 & 11, 2019
All missionaries serving in the Spanish stake were invited to the 4:00 and 7:00 pm session on Saturday evening. We provided dinner for them in between sessions. On Sunday kind members from the stake provided lunch for all the missionaries!
Zone Conference August 1, 6-8, 2019
Thursday August 1
Elder Lopez conducted for the Houston North and Spring/Woodlands Zones
Special musical number performed by Sister Pace on violin and Sister Hill on piano, Lord of All to Thee we Raise.

Tuesday August 6
Elder Pineda conducted for the Bear Creek/Katy and Houston West South zones
Special musical number by Elder Roper and Elder Pineda with Hermana Root on piano and Hermana Vance on violin

Wednesday August 7
Conducting: Elder Smedley for the Conroe, Tomball/Klein zones
Special music by Elders Williams and Greer and Sisters Rogers and Woodward accompanied on piano by Hermana Glissmeyer

Thursday August 8
Elder Herrera conducted the zone conference for the Cypress, Conroe and College Station zones
Special musical number by Sisters Saville and Fleming
Departing testimonies: Sister Fleming, Elders Crouch, Weir, & Butterfield
In zone conference we learned about miracles occurring in the lives of our missionaries and those they are teaching, adversity with examples of athletes who overcame obstacles such as Jim Thorpe, examples from the scriptures and our baptismal goal for September which is 47 and August 42.
Sister Peterson trained on humility and courtesy ( from preach my gospel and the safety zone video).
Assistants trained and shared the new prepare to teach books followed by President Petersons Book of Mormon training.
2 missionaries were called upon to share their 5 minute talk on Alma 26 after which we had lunch.
After Lunch we had zone breakouts followed by testimonies from our departing missionaries and closing remarks from President Peterson.

8 Week Traning
Wednesday July 31, 2019 18 missionaries came to the Hafer Church building, 1/2 half of the missionaries are training and came prepared to role play from the lessons in Preach My Gospel. They were all able to practice with other missionaries besides their companion. They all received valuable feedback and a lunch from chik-filet. The training ended with a role play by President and Sister Peterson.
MLC July 30, 2019
We began MLC by singing Now Let us Rejoice and the opening prayer was by Elder Lopez. President Peterson presided and Elder Pinster conducted. Elder Smedley led us all in the mission statement and purpose followed by Miracles in the mission which were shared by missionaries and results from the May survey.
We then had zone leader training:

Zone Unity: Sister Leavitt
After a 15 minute break Sister Peterson trained on the church privacy policy showing the video put out in February. Youth, 10 daily contacts and Stake President follow up were topics of discussion led by the Assistants, Elder Airth and Elder Pinster.
After Lunch provided by Rebecca Brighton, Zone leaders went over the August accountability and planned their September goal. Goal for August is 42 baptisms and the goal for September is 47.
We ended the meeting singing How Firm a Foundation and the closing prayer was given by Hermana Williams.
