Assistants to President Peterson
The assistants to President Peterson are 2 elders he prayerfully calls to assist him. They are not office elders, although they are often seen in the office using the computer and helping President Peterson with transfers which occur each 6 weeks, planning agendas for MLC and zone conferences along with training in these meetings. They also have an area they serve in finding and teaching people. They go on exchanges with zone leaders and help train them. These are just a few of the things they do! We are grateful to them for their example of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

After the new missionaries and their trainers meet for the first time we take a picture of them sitting on the couch in the church foyer, they then go into the cultural hall for lunch (pizza, fruit and cookies) and to get acquainted.

Houston Temple
We always take the new missionaries to see the Houston Temple. We talk of how we help people we teach to have the Temple as their goal, to learn how to do family history work and to come to the Temple for themselves and their family. We are very blessed to have the Temple close by in our mission.
