Zone Conferences

This week we held zone conferences with the Cypess, Katy, and Houston West Zones on Tuesday, and the College Station, Houston North, Klein, and Spring Zones on Wednesday.  We met at 8AM each day for car inspections, and then began our meetings in the chapel at 9AM.  Specifically, we discussed the principles of stewardship and accountability, and then received training on health, defensive driving, apartment cleanliness and baptismal records.  Lunch was then provided by the local Relief Society before we began our afternoon sessions which were focused on specific finding approaches.  Later in the afternoon, several zone members gave prepared talks and those missionaries who will be leaving soon shared their testimonies.  Throughout the days we were also enriched with beautiful music from talented missionaries, along with learning, This is the Christ, as a mission.  There is a great spirit of comraderie, hope, and unity when we are able to meet together!  Please enjoy pictures taken from both zone conferences.

ZLC

Zone Leader Council was held on Wednesday.  The meeting was focused on finding efforts, particularly in praying for and blessing those that receive us (see D.&C. 75:18,19).  We also discussed the importance of accountability and the power and authority of our callings (see PMG, page 4).  Attached you will also find a few pictures taken from a missionary fireside held at the mission home this evening for prospective missionaries in the Houston North Stake.
