District Meeting and Converts

Each Friday we attend a district meeting and love watching our missionaries lead and conduct and train one another.  Also in June we saw Yolanda enter the waters of baptism.  She is a wonderful person and so loving and friendly.  President Peterson discovered she is from Ohio and asked if she ever had Cincinnati chili which she has and loves. He invited her and she invited her husband and 2 neighbors to dinner and we had a great time with a few senior missionaries, our daughter Jenna and the full time sister missionaries.

Zone Conference

Zone Conference June 12-14.  We decided to try something new and instead of meeting in the chapel we met in the cultural hall.  We learned about companion study, the language of prayer, a story about oranges, good nutrition and were treated to candy and a nice lunch.  It was a great day of learning and training and counseling together.

We had our second Faith Meets Families at the Houston Temple.  Over 30 converts came and brought family names (parents and grandparents).  We were happy to go again 2 weeks after the last one to catch up!  We are grateful for all the church members who make this evening possible by bringing converts to the temple and for all the senior missionaries who help.

8 Week training,  this is an opportunity for missionaries who have been in the mission field with their  trainers for 8 weeks to come together and go over their lesson plans and to practice teaching and role play.  President Peterson, Sister Peterson and the assistants begin the day with training before the missionaries practice. It is always great to see their progress and confidence and they enjoy seeing one another!

These wonderful missionaries have been out 8 weeks!  

June 5 we had MLC Missionary (leadership council) with the zone leaders and sister training leaders.  President and Sister Peterson trained along with the Assistants Elder Adams and Elder Hunt.  We all learned and counseled together and were fed both spiritually and physically!
