Day 3 of transfers

August 16 we had breakfast at the mission home followed by training, pictures and a trip to see the Houston Temple before heading to the church for more training, meet new companions, have lunch then more training and finally head off to their new areas!

Almost a year ago the temple was flooded, grateful to have it back again!

Day 2 of transfers

The morning of August 15 we left for the airport early and said goodbye to all the wonderful departing missionaries. Later in the afternoon we welcomed new missionaries, came to the mission home for dinner, interviews and a testimony meeting.

Transfers August 14-16 Day 1 of transfers

August 14 was the beginning of transfers. We had 11 missionaries return home, 10 elders (one flew home to Peru) and 1 Hermana. They were excited and nervous to go home. We attended the temple in the afternoon. The missionaries had to be to the airport really early Wednesday morning! They missed breakfast at the mission home however each received 2 muffins! 18 new missionaries arrived in the afternoon and came to the mission home for dinner and testimonies. The following morning everyone had breakfast and we went to the Houston temple to take pictures then over to a church for training and to meet their trainers.
