Thanksgiving- A day of Gratitude for all our Blessings

Many of our missionaries were blessed to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with the wonderful people throughout the Texas Houston Mission.  At the mission home we shared a meal with many of the senior missionaries  The weather was beautiful and after dinner we enjoyed a walk around the lake and dessert outside.  We are so grateful for all those who serve alongside us here in Texas  We are blessed to know them!

8 Week Training and Interviews

Tuesday, November 20 we had interviews with missionaries in the Spring and Woodlands zones.  President Peterson interviews each missionary for about 10-15 minutes.  While they are being interviewed Sister Peterson talks with the missionaries in the foyer where they enjoy muffins or cookies.  Elder Garcia and Elder Johnson  brought 4 young men who were going to spend the day with them on a mini mission and they were very excited to go out tracting

Wednesday, November 21 we had 8 week at the Hafer church building.  We had training and practiced going over 3 lessons with other missionaries and received great feedback, inspiration and a greater desire and confidence to do the Lords work here in the Texas Houston Mission.

New Missioanries have arrived! November 7, 2018

Late in the afternoon of November 7 we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of 18 missionaries.  As we are waiting, several people glance our way and come to tell us our missionaries are coming, this happens each time we wait for new missionaries.  We eagerly watch for them and at first sight we all smile and greet with hugs and handshakes then take the elevator down to baggage claim, collect their luggage and take it outside to the  the trailer where Elder Hill is waiting to help load.  We are then off to the mission home for dinner, interviews, testimonies  and sleep.
