Houston Temple and Meeting Trainers July 18, 2019

July 18 after breakfast and training by President Peterson we go see the Houston Temple and talk about Faith Meets Family, family history work, when they could go to the temple and the covenant path that leads to the Temple.
A few hours later the new missionaries and trainers meet for the first time.

New Missionaries are Here July 17, 2019

New missionaries arrived Wednesday July 17 from both the Provo MTC and the Mexico CCM.  It is always exciting as we catch our first glance of one another and have big smiles, hugs and handshakes.
15 missionaries arrived and another arrived 3 weeks ago (her Spanish was good so she only spent 3 weeks at the MTC instead of 6 weeks for language training).

Temple Days July 9-11

Once a quarter our missionaries are able to take a family name that they have found on their own to the temple.  They all work on family history 1 hour per week often with the assistance of a ward or stake family history consultant.  We love that the missionaries love and have a strong testimony of family history work and the Temple!

Transfers Within the Mission July 16

Tuesday was an exciting  day as most missionaries came together who were being transferred.  They found out either from the assistants or zone leaders who and/or where they were going.  They all received a call Sunday evening telling them to either pack and come to the church building or to come unpacked because they would take a new  companion to their area!
