Transfers December 31, 2019- January 2, 2020

12 missionaries went home, Elder Green, Elder Harvey, Elder Lindsey, Elder Williams, Elder Cline, Sister Woodward, Sister Hanson, Sister Leavitt, Sister Magnesen, Hermana Abraham, Hermana Hansen and Hermana Larsen.

We went to the temple early on December 31 as it was New Years Eve and the last endowment session was at 11 am.  After the temple we came to the mission home for snacks and later dinner and a testimony meeting.
That evening we tried to sleep while listening to fireworks until 1:30 am!

Wednesday morning we had breakfast at the mission home and drove to the airport to say goodbye!

District Feud

Christmas Conference December 18-19, 2019

We enjoyed 2 days of Christmas zone conferences with 1\2 the mission each day.  We began our conference in the church chapel with special musical numbers by the missionaries and talks by President Broadbent, Sister Peterson and President Peterson.  We watched Mr. Krugers Christmas and heard from Missionaries about memorable past Christmases.  Before lunch we watched a 30 minute slideshow of the past year, we had asked missionaries to send in 3 pictures and Sister Kizerian out it all together with Christmas music.
We enjoyed a catered lunch by Bobby Sevy of the Tomball stake.  After lunch we divided into 3 groups. One group attended a magic show by Elder Oh, he tied in the gospel to his magic!  Another group played "district Feud" and the 3rd group assembled a gingerbread house.  Everyone rotated through each activity.  We then watch The Fighting Preacher after which prizes were given out to those who guessed the closest amount of candy in jars!  All were given a study journal as a gift.

November 12, 2019 Hailey is home from her Mission

Our daughter Hailey returned home from serving a mission in the New Zealand Auckland Mission.  She said she felt she went one from mission to another!  Her uncle and cousin came to greet her and spend a few days with her.  While here in Houston,  she served in the Houston Temple and attended the YSA ward.

Thanksgiving November 28, 2019

Each Thanksgiving in the mission we have invited our senior missionaries over.  This year we had a few over plus some of our missionaries who we found out did not have a dinner.
