Transfers April 9-10

We had 3 missionaries complete their mission and went home Tuesday April 10, Elder Fe'esago, Sister West and Sister Hurst.  This was our smallest group so far!  We love them and will miss them.

Missionaries occasionally come to the mission office to get supplies for themselves and their zone and say goodbye to missionaries who are returning home.

Temple Service

Thursday April 5 50 missionaries were asked to clean the fence surrounding the Houston temple.  The fence gets cleaned once a year and had previously been cleaned 6 months ago due to Hurricane Harvey.  It was a beautiful sunny low humid day.  After we completed the cleaning, Sister Brighton brought sack lunches.

Mission March Madness!

The month of March went by so quickly!  We saw new missionaries arriving one of which arrived 2 weeks ago, we had a zone conference (3 days,), smart phones,  district meetings, English classes, service opportunities, teaching, baptisms and Saturday session of General Conference. We also met our newly called area medical advisor Elder Smith and his wife.  He will be a great resource to us and many other missions.

We enjoyed ending March with General Conference and look forward to April and the re-opening of the Houston temple on April 24.  Our missionaries look forward to taking a family name that they have found to the temple in May.

I am including many but not all the pictures I took this month for the blog, I had intended on updating it weeks ago!  President Peterson and I truly love serving here in Houston and all the wonderful missionaries, we have noticed after being here 9 months how quickly our time is going and the need for urgency in finding and teaching the people here and helping our missionaries in any way we can.
