Transfers

On August 2, after a day at the temple, a special dinner and testimony meeting we said goodbye to 24 stalwart missionaries who had served so faithfully and done so much good.  We are excited for them to start a new chapter in their lives and know they will do great things.  They each have a plan to stay close to the Lord and always put Him first.  They also plan to be productive going to school, dating, working and preparing for life.  We will miss them.

That same day, our new missionaries arrived from the MTC.  They get oriented and come to the Mission Home for dinner and training.  We are so pleased to have these wonderful, young missionaries here in Houston to represent Jesus Christ in proclaiming His restored gospel!

The day after they arrive, they meet their trainers and are oriented in the 12-week training schedule.  They are excited and feel relief when they get with their assigned trainers. Trainers are chosen because of their diligence and example that will have a long-lasting impact on their trainees.
