November Transfers, New Leader Training and MLC

November 6-8 were transfers.  We had 7 missionaries return home with honor and 18 new missionaries 2 of which are visa waiters for Samoa.  On Tuesday November 6 missionaries met at the church building to go to new areas or pick up a new companion, the departing missionaries received information on flying home and advice.  They came to the mission home for lunch and then the Houston temple for an endowment session. We then returned to the mission home for dinner, Mama Juanitas fajitas and Blue Bell ice cream.  Following dinner we had our testimony meeting then off to bed, the sisters stayed with us and the elders went to an apartment.  Wednesday morning we all met back at the mission home for breakfast.  We were informed some of the missionaries flight was delayed and would need to be rebooked.  President Peterson realized after an hour that he was to rebook their flight which he did then we quickly left for the airport and were able to get everyone checked in and safely onto their flight!  Later Wednesday afternoon our 18 missionaries arrived and we were able to get all their luggage into the mission trailer and off to the mission home.  Dinner was a yummy Texas BBQ and of course Blue Bell ice cream.  President Peterson interviewed all 18 missionaries and since we had 1 sister she went to stay the night at President and Sister Broadbents home, 10 elders stayed at the mission home and 7 at the elders apartment.  Thursday morning everyone returned to the mission home for breakfast, training and then to the Houston Temple to see it and take pictures.  We arrived at the church for training, to meet their , to have lunch and off to their areas to preach the gospel and baptize!

The following Tuesday November 13 we had new leader training and a few hours later MLC.  The zones talked about and came up with goals for December and we have a mission goal of 54.  We are excited to reach our goal.

Pictures to follow.
