Transfers-January 28-31, 2019

Our transfer began Monday January 28 with the return of Sister Sutton who had gone home 5 months ago for health reasons.  We and she were so excited to have her return.  President Peterson and I took her to dinner then over to  the mission home to stay over night.  We all got up early Tuesday morning and went to the mission office then over to the Hafer church building where missionaries were gathering for transfers.  Sister Sutton was assigned to serve with Sister Tseng for a transfer in Katy.
10 missionaries who were going home came to the mission home for lunch and later to the temple.  We all returned back to the mission home for dinner and testimonies.  Elder Tacher's parents picked him up at 9pm.  It was heartwarming to see their reunion after 24 months!  Wednesday morning the assistants and the Petersons drove the 9 missionaries to the airport got them all checked in and took our traditional picture with the space cow.  We all said our tearful goodbyes. The sisters who went home were our first transfer in the mission.  It was such a blessing to watch them grow!

Later that day we welcomed 9 missionaries  6 had been in the Provo MTC and 3 in the Mexico CCM.
After dinner, testimonies, letters written to families and testimonies written for President and Sister Peterson and interviews with President Peterson. The sisters stayed the night in the mission home and the elders at a missionary apartment.  Thursday morning was breakfast, training , the temple to take pictures and off to the Hafer church to meet their new companions who will help them adjust and learn more of their call to serve.

Sister Sutton!
