We then shared miracles many of the missionaries had witnessed followed by training on helping our investigators become converted through the spirit of revelation by President Peterson. He had us read D&C 88:118 where the Lord tell us to learn both by study (learning, teaching, reading) and by faith (acting, doing) and then cross reference that with D&C 8:2-3 where the Lord tells us He will speak truth to us in our minds and our hearts as we learn. Missionaries learned to guide the people they are teaching by finding out where they are spiritually and then teaching to their deepest personal and spiritual desires. The missionaries then help others act in order to learn by faith.
A 10 minute break was followed by a short video from our ASL missionaries, Elder Del Toro and Elder Sevy on how to sign to someone who is deaf and how to get a referral from ASL asking to have their phone number.
The assistants gave training on follow-up from our mission tour in May with Elder and Sister Ochoa. They also asked all of us to read a talk by Elder Ballard titled, 'Return and Receive.'
President Kizerian taught us how to share and use the scriptures and we all practiced what he taught and what we learned!
A few missionaries were asked to share a 5 minute talk they had prepared about Alma 17 & 18. All gave wonderful talk and insights into these missionary scripture chapters.
We then enjoyed a great lunch by our local Relief Society sisters (and were also excited to see Yolanda Winters who recently received her temple endowment helping with lunch on June 20.)
After Lunch we discussed the white handbook and some clarifications on the handbook that President Peterson puts in weekly emails called Mission Matters.
The Sisters and Elders then separated and Sister Peterson talked with the sisters about dress and grooming and any questions they had and President Peterson did the same with the elders.
Missionaries who will be returning home next transfer in July--Elder Heiner, Elder Gubler, Elder Darley, Sister Molisi, Hermana Tuia, Elder Wendel, Elder Crooks, Elder Urban, Elder Hill, Elder Byington, Elder Gibby and Sister Dale--shared their testimonies and we concluded the zone conference with closing remarks from President Peterson.
