Our purpose and Visit from Elder and Sister Corbridge

To the missionaries of the Great Texas Houston Mission,

It was wonderful to see you all at the Zone Conferences with Elder and Sister Corbridge this last week. You look so good! It is always great to be with you!

It was inspiring to be reminded taught by Elder Corbridge and gratifying to know that he felt inspired to remind us to be focused on our purpose. That is something we have felt is important as well. As we have excercized the faith to be better at inviting people to be baptized in the first lesson and often times in our first interaction, great blessings have followed. More people right now have baptismal dates that at any other time in our mission. Wards are becoming energized, spirits are being lifted and we are being blessed. We are all so lucky to have the privelege of serving here together!

We must remember that we carry the message that will allow people to be redeemed of their sins and to receive the greates gift anyone can receive in mortality which is the Gift and companionship of the Holy Ghost. All of God's children need it. Be as strictly obedient as you can be so that we can receive revelation to both find those the Lord has prepared and have the courage and faith to invite them to come unto Christ that they may inherit eternal life (D&C 14:7,8)!!

We love you! We can think of no better missionaries to labor with in this great work!

Love,

President and Sister Mortensen

The next few pictures are of an institute activity on campus at SHSU where the missionaries taught students to make these cool bracelets. They had plenty of time to visit while they made them :)

We are so excited to have the Stevens here from SLC to be one of our invaluable office couples. We love them already!

Elder Spangler and Elder Alvarenga both received visas to serve in Brazil We will sure miss them, but we wish them great success in Brazil.

They will be awesome!
