This week we held specialized training sessions throughout the mission. In particular, we focused on increasing our coordination and unity with local leaders and members. In 2009, Elder L. Tom Perry came to Houston and introduced the ward mission process to priesthood leaders in the city. The ward mission process is a method for working closely with bishops and ward councils in order to reach out to less-active members and friends of other faiths. The training this week helped missionaries understand this process and their important role. We also discussed other ways to support the wards more effectively in their missionary work and how to better gain their confidence and trust.
